To avoid disappointment, we recommend booking Graythwaite Adventure activities in advance. Fishing and Osprey Safaris are available through Esthwaite Fishery. Please note: There is a separate apartment on the first floor and some associated noise may occasionally be heard. Please note: Esthwaite Water is independently managed and guests do not have rights to access the water for fishing, swimming or water-based activities without prior arrangement and payment to Esthwaite Fishery. Please note: Check-ins are not available on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year's Day.
The village of Sawrey is situated two miles from Hawkshead down the eastern side of Esthwaite Water. Sawrey consists of two separate hamlets - Near Sawrey and Far Sawrey - both with a cluster of picturesque cottages, tea rooms and pubs.
