Please Note: Esthwaite Water is privately owned and managed independently by Esthwaite Water Fishery. Guests do not have automatic rights to access the water for fishing, swimming or other water activities. Any permits or access permissions must be arranged directly with the fishery. Please Note: Check-ins are not available on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year's Day.
The village of Sawrey is situated two miles from Hawkshead down the eastern side of Esthwaite Water. Sawrey consists of two separate hamlets - Near Sawrey and Far Sawrey - both with a cluster of picturesque cottages, tea rooms and pubs.
