This wonderful cottage offers the opportunity for a quiet, restful holiday just a 5-minute stroll from the shores of Lake Windermere, and superb lake views can be enjoyed from the property. There is a cosy sitting room, and a well-equipped kitchen with slate worktops and a dining area. Upstairs, the king-size master bedroom enjoys wonderful lake views, and there is a comfortable twin room along with the family bathroom.

Outside is a private fenced garden with a patio area, overlooking the river and offering glimpses of the lake beyond. The Graythwaite Estate makes an ideal base for a holiday in this stunning part of the country. The rest of the stunning Lake District awaits, so should you decide to leave this idyllic spot, it's easy to enjoy trips on paddle boats or steam railways, days in pretty villages or bustling towns, or simply lose yourself in the majesty of the dramatic Lakes scenery.

Shared use of estate grounds and facilities 3 miles away, including an indoor heated swimming pool (please bring swim towels, as towels provided are for use in the property only) and a table tennis room (please bring your own bats and balls). Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 4.3 miles, pub 1.5 miles. Water supplied from a private freshwater lake. To avoid disappointment, we recommend booking Graythwaite Adventure activities in advance. Mobile phone signal may be limited due to the property's rural location. Please note: The adjoining mill is disused and must not be entered. Although the garden is fenced, children should be supervised at all times due to the property's proximity to the river. Access to the property is via a 100-metre woodland track. Check-in is not available on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year's Day.
